Plavis G40
Plavis G40 is a 40% graphite-filled thermoplastic polyimide (TPI). The high graphite content gives it exceptional wear resistance, dimensional stability, and a very low coefficient of friction, making it the preferred choice for high-performance bearing and sliding applications under extreme conditions. Compared to Plavis G15 (15% graphite), G40 offers higher abrasion resistance and greater dimensional stability, better suited for applications requiring precision fit and long-term wear life.
- Self-lubricating; reduces stick-slip and external lubrication needs
- Retains properties at high temperatures 300°C
- Very low friction for smooth sliding
- High abrasion resistance, longer part life
- High stiffness, excellent dimensional stability
- Excellent machinability. Can produce intricate, precise parts
